OUR QUESTION:

Can we still access our homeworlds when the game is over?

So, we win the game and get our very own planet. Awesome! But how flexible is it? There are many things to consider when kidnapped from your homeworld to compete in a game show that offers a personal planet as a prize.

  • How real is this planet? Is it an extension of this dimension, or our home dimension, or is it all in our mind?
  • To what extent do we have control over our planet? Can we change the circumstances mentioned in the above point?
  • Will the competition hosts still be around to bother - or help us - on our planet?

Much to consider.

However, the most important question to the Young Mage's Co-alition is carefully crafted to provide an answer or solution to all of the above questions. If the winner of the planet so chooses, could they freely travel between their planet and their homeworld? Perhaps a magical portal could be placed on the planet that safely teleports you back to your home. Or, if you were to place your planet in the orbit of your home one, you could have a private rocket ship you can travel back and forth in. Or, if the planet isn't even real - the ability to withdraw into your mind-planet at any time without consequence! And if we have the ability to do such a thing, if the hosts are indeed still in contact after the competition is over, you could simply leave your planet and return home to avoid them!

Many people in this competition have a home they value. Be it an established community, loved ones to return to, unfinished business, or simply familiarity; there's no doubt there's plenty of incentive to win this competition. But does winning your own planet really mean freedom? "I want to go home," you cry, but will you be able to? Well, if your planet could have a means of travel to your home, then you've just struck gold. You get to return home and get a fancy planet to use however you'd like. It can be your secret base, or a private (tax-free!) residence, or a beautiful paradise of all of your favorite things. It's a win-win situation! Even if you never use it, at least it's a way home, right?

To some, having their own planet they can customize to their liking is a dream come true. Maybe they'd prefer it over their home world – maybe they aren't welcome where they're from, or feel like they don't belong, or wish things could be different.

To those of you who share that sentiment: What if there is a special person you'd like to join you? What if you forgot something at home? What if you'd like to invade your wretched homeland and enact revenge on the people who wronged you with your newly created army militia established on your new planet? Would a means to access your homeworld not prove useful then?

Ah, but our question does not only apply to the winners! Scroll up and read the question once more.

Those competing who do not win a planet are sent to a mystical world known as "Skyrim." Eventually, all but one contestant will end up there. After the game is over, are the eliminated contestants left in Skyrim, or returned to their home? In reality game shows, eliminated contestants are kept in reserve (Skyrim, in our case) in case one might be brought back into the fight. However, when a competition is over, the winners get their prize and everyone gets to go home. The game's over! There is no more reserve to be had! So, will the poor suckers in Skyrim be released from its grasp?

Alternatively – in many contestants' home worlds, "Skyrim" is a Video Game. Eliminated from one game and sent into another! So, if they were to "beat" Skyrim, would they be free? If you successfully win the game, the game ends. Now go home!!!

Of course, the specifics of these scenarios will not be answered. However, by voting for our question, you will at least get a shimmer of hope that you can return home, even if you're NOT the lucky winner of a planet!!!

Well, have we convinced you? If not, behold the testimonies of our party below. Surely they will change your mind.
